My Trip to Florida

I just got home from Florida last monday, where I attended the Florida US Continental Pageant! It was so much fun! It's an extremely different place then Utah. My mom and I arrived there on Friday. When we got to the hotel we dropped off our stuff in Tina's (Ms. US Continental) hotel room, then went straight to shopping. On Saturday we headed out to the beach where Monica, Tina, and myself took photo's. (: The beach was beautiful.

After the beach we headed back to our hotel room and got ready for the interviews. At five the girls had their interviews where I got to help out by explaining how everything works and taking them where they needed to be!

Once interviews were over Monica and her family, Loreen, Debbie, my mom and I deciede the night wasn't over for us. We made our way over to City Place. We talked with alot of people and took pictures.

On Sunday we had rehersal in the moring. The girls learned the opening number, and we ran through the order of the events. Everyone also presented gifts to one another telling about themselves. After rehersal Loreen, my mom and I did a little more shopping at a local mall. When we got back to the hotel room it was time to start getting ready for the night. The pageant started out with the opening number, which went really well, then lead into some performances, next came the swimming suit portion, more intertainment, and then the evening gown phase. All the girls looked and did amazing! After all the scores were added, the most intense part of the night came...the crowning!!! Brittany Bacallo was crowned Miss Teen Florida US Continental, Jenny Govert was crowned Ms. Florida US Continental, and Debbie Bomford was crowned Mrs. Florida US Continental. Congrats girls!
